Il Telelavoro è una modalità di lavoro grazie a cui, impiegando infrastrutture telematiche ed informatiche, è possibile valicare i tradizionali confini fisici e logistici dell'ufficio. Il termine telelavoro indica un particolare tipo di rapporto di lavoro che si connota per il fatto che l'attività del prestatore viene normalmente svolta, con l'ausilio di strumenti informatici ed attrezzature telematiche, in luogo diverso dai locali aziendali, prevalentemente da casa. Il telelavoro è legato a diversi benefici per datori di lavoro e telelavoratori: risparmio di immobili e sedi di lavoro, spese di riscaldamento e manutenzione; per il lavoratore è legato a un risparmio per le spese di trasporto.
